Arriving into Flam, Norway by the Sky Princess, Princess Cruise Line was an absolutely breathtaking experience. As we approached the town, the stunning sunrise illuminated the fjords, creating a picturesque view that will forever be etched in my memory. The calmness and tranquility of the surroundings made me feel instantly at peace, as if time had stood still for a moment.

The town of Flam, with its approximately 350 residents, exudes a quaint charm that is hard to resist. As we disembarked from the cruise ship, we were greeted by friendly locals who were more than happy to share their stories and recommendations. The Flam Railway, known as one of the top 10 scenic railways in Europe, awaited us, promising an unforgettable journey through mesmerizing landscapes and untouched nature.

During the train ride, we had the opportunity to stop and experience the legendary Huldra, a mythical creature said to lure men into the woods. The folklore surrounding the Huldra added an element of mystery and excitement to our adventure. It was truly fascinating to delve into the rich cultural heritage of Norway and immerse ourselves in its captivating tales.

After the train ride, we decided to continue our exploration of Flam by taking a bike ride down the majestic mountains. The scenic route allowed us to witness the awe-inspiring waterfalls and admire the stunning architecture of the old church, which dates back to 1670. The combination of natural wonders and historical landmarks made every moment of the bike ride truly enchanting.

To conclude our day in Flam, we indulged in some local Norwegian pizza. The flavors and ingredients used in this unique culinary delight were a delightful surprise, showcasing the local cuisine in a delicious and memorable way.
